    Reduced fees and bulk billing are available to eligible clients (i.e. full-time students, pensioners, and holders of a Health Care Card) with prior approval.

    Medicare Rebates
    Clients referred by their General Practitioner, Psychiatrist or Paediatrician through the Better Access to Mental Health Care Initiative (Mental Health Care Plan), can claim a Medicare rebate of $89.65 (General Psychologist) or $131.65 (Clinical Psychologist) per session for up to 10 sessions each calendar year.

    Mindsource offers the convenience of Medicare Easyclaim which allows your Medicare rebate to be paid directly into your bank account immediately at our practice after you’ve paid your fee.

    Private Health Insurance Rebates
    Many private health insurance funds provide rebates for psychology counselling and therapy but this depends on your individual level of cover and no referral is needed.
    The extent of the cover varies and it is advisable to contact your health funds to see if you are eligible for a rebate.

    Workers Compensation
    We have several clinicians who are accredited with the State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA; formerly known as Workcover) to provide treatment of an injured worker’s work-related injury. Counselling is focussed on helping people improve their mental health and recover from an injury that has resulted from their work, so they can achieve a safe and durable recovery at or return to work.
    Treatment under the Workers Compensation system requires clients to have submitted a worker’s compensation claim, and to have approval from the insurer prior to the start of treatment.

    Victims of Crime Approved Counselling Scheme
    If you have been a victim of a crime in NSW, you may be eligible to receive counselling under the Victims Services Approved Counselling Service. The Approved Counselling Service provides free individual counselling to people who have become victims of violent crime that occurred in NSW and aims to assist victims recover from the psychological and emotional impacts the crime has had on them.

    Department of Veteran Affairs
    Counselling is available for clients who are eligible serving and ex-serving members, and their families, through the Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA) and Open Arms - Veterans and Families Counselling (formerly known as the Veterans and Veterans Families Counselling Service; VVCS).

    Cancellation Fee
    Any cancellations must be provided at least 24 hours prior to your confirmed booking time by contacting our reception team on (02) 4962 1996 otherwise you will be charged in full for your counselling session.
