Taryn is a Registered Psychologist with experience working with victims of crime as a victim support specialist. Taryn has provided clinical support services since 2006 and has worked in private practice as a Psychologist since 2008.

Taryn has a passion for working with people overcoming a range of challenges such as depression, anxiety, grief and loss, trauma, anger, behavioural issues, pain management, substance addiction and other addictive behaviours, self-esteem, parenting and interpersonal issues. She has a special interest in working with people who have experienced trauma and/or Posttraumatic Stress Disorder and are recovering from childhood abuse, sexual assault, domestic violence, attachment and adjustment issues and bullying.

Taryn’s approach is client-centered and holistic, with interventions and practical strategies tailored to meet the presenting needs of the individual client, with a focus on client empowerment and maximising well-being.

Taryn makes strong use of evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution-focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, EMDR, and psychophysiological applications including relaxation and meditation training.
