    Geoff relocated to Newcastle in 2015 to commence work in Hamilton, where he continues to practise as a Clinical Psychologist.  He is a Member of both the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and the Australian Clinical Psychology Association (ACPA) and is a Fellow of the APS College of Clinical Psychologists.

    His previous practice as a psychologist included working in a university clinic in north Queensland, at an outer-urban youth mental health service and at a major Sydney public hospital. During his academic studies in psychology in NSW and Queensland, Geoff completed research projects on both eating disorders and occupational stress.

    Geoff had an extensive career in urban and rural schools, including teaching, leadership, leading cross cultural exchanges and developing well-being programs. He commenced studying psychology twenty years ago, completing most of his studies whilst still in the school sector.

    Predominantly Geoff uses cognitive and behavioural therapies, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. In a collaborative approach with clients he will draw on other appropriate strategies, including mindfulness.

    Geoff works with clients from adolescence to older adulthood. He has a particular interest in assisting people experiencing anxiety disorders, mood disorders, Adjustment Disorder, sleep problems or occupational stress as well as those encountering mental health issues in the context of medical illness.

    Geoff provides EAP counselling, assists clients under Work Development Orders and is approved to provide off-base treatment for military personnel.
